The book received wide acclaim, the following are two reviews:

Soul Conductor is an insightful and ultimately enriching account of loss and the process of grieving. Unsentimental, yet tender, the book is an inspiration on many levels, particularly for those wanting to make sense of the emotion surrounding death and to acquire the courage to deal with it. – Liz Morris, Editor

Bryan bravely asks that you take his hand and join him on a powerful journey through the potent depiction of his overwhelming grief. He articulates the grieving process for the countless South Africans who have unfortunately shared the experience of losing a loved one suddenly, violently, and he shares his path to healing. In doing so, he makes this an essential read for the rest of us. – Nadine Rubin, Writer and friend
